Behind the Scenes

I have been made aware of a few things recently, in regards to the way God works.

  1. His ways are miraculous and yet we have to be patient to wait for Him to work (it's always in a way we never could have planned ourselves).

  2. He works through broken and flawed individuals.

  3. Prayer is powerful.

I really had it on my heart that "foster care" should be a topic addressed in our next issue. I had reached out to a few people but no one had taken the bait. I opened my email a few days ago to an email from a girl I grew up with. I had no idea she was doing foster care, but her email said that she had written a piece for the Hephzibah on the topic at hand. She questioned if this would even fit with our theme for the next quarter, but God knew and had been orchestrating the cards all along.

This was such a good reminder that the work God puts in front of us to do is not ours, but His! And if we keep showing up, as broken as we are, He moves! God knew that I had been facing discouragement in regards to the magazine and He blessed me with this orchestration of His.

Prayer is a tool that I have seen to be very powerful in ministry. And I would love to have some prayer warriors rise up and surround this on going project. Let me know if you are willing to join the Hephzibah Prayer Team!

Love,

Sarah
